ABBA's last live performance

This clip from 1982 was found in the archives of BBC (British public service broadcasting), and is said to be the last live performance ever by ABBA in front of an audience. The song was never aired for some odd reason, but is now available through You Tube. Watch Agnetha taken by surprise when the host suggests a song, no microphone... Enjoy!

'Somewhere's In The Crowd There's You' released today on ABBA Super Trouper Deluxe

PRESS RELEASE:
The original Super Trouper album and the bonus tracks have been remastered especially for this release, sounding better than ever. As for the bonus tracks, an exciting discovery was the stereo mix of the original, full length version of On And On And On, previously only available in mono. We are very happy to be able to include it on this Deluxe Edition of Super Trouper.

The DVD contains a number of television performances of tracks from the Super Trouper album, none of which have been released on DVD before. The same goes for the vintage documentary Words And Music, produced by Polar Music International, which features the group talking specifically about the Super Trouper album in the immediate aftermath of the album’s completion.

We are especially thrilled to be able to include a brand new featurette, entitled Somewhere In The Crowd There’s You – On Location With ABBA. This featurette is a brand new production, compiling footage that was shot on the night when ABBA and their album designer, Rune Söderqvist, assembled a crowd of friends and circus performers to create the spectacular photograph featured on the Super Trouper album sleeve. This archive footage has been gathering dust in the archives for three decades without ever being made public – until now.

As a bonus, the original promo clips for ‘Super Trouper’ and ‘Happy New Year’ are included – both of which feature footage shot on the “album sleeve night” – to give the viewer further glimpses of what took place that night. The sequences included in the promo clips, shot by director Lasse Hallström, are completely different to the footage in the featurette, filmed by a separate film crew. The promo clips are the newly restored and remastered versions, out of which only ‘Super Trouper’ has been released before (on last year’s ABBA Gold CD/DVD Special Edition); the restored ‘Happy New Year’ is seen for the first time.

King and Queen of Sweden accuses selling author Stieg Larsson to give the wrong impression of Sweden

The first part of the Millennium Triology 'The Girl With The Dragon Tattoo', which was a huge worldwide success, both as a book and as a movie.

The Millennium trilogy, is a worldwide success. But King Carl Gustaf and Queen Silvia of Sweden are concerned.
- I'm not happy about it. Larsson's books are more intimidating than encouraging, "says King Carl Gustaf.

The King and Queen of Sweden are in Poland on an official three-day visit. The Polish newspaper Gazeta Wyborcza publishing a lengthy interview with the king and queen made prior to the visit.

Stieg Larsson's Millennium-books has been a huge worldwide success and was printed in half million copies only in Poland. But when the trilogy comes up the king looks very troubled, the newspaper said.
- I do not know what to say. But I am very surprised that the books have become such a success. Perhaps it is because Sweden has never previously been associated with a criminal world that Larsson writes about. I'm not happy about it. Larsson's books are more intimidating than encouraging.

The royal couple criticize the books for not providing an accurate description of Sweden.
- It's fascinating books but I am shocked that they contain so much cruelty. Larsson shows another picture of Sweden, said Queen Silvia.
- It's not a Sweden that we recognize, the king clarifies.
- I do not want to identify our country with what Larsson describes. His stories should be considered as books and you have to understand that this is fiction. This is not the right image of Sweden, "says Queen Silvia.

Jennifer Lopez's career has been reignited, with the support from the Swedish star producer RedOne J Lo is returning to the charts: "We hit it off immediately. It was an amazing chemistry that I just can't explain, "she says.

Around the millennium, Jennifer Lopez released three albums, all of which dominated the charts. Her videos rolled hard during a time when music channels still decided which artists who would become superstars. But as the 00 or so was 10 or so, J Lo's star power faded and her career seemed to stall.

But when we read 2011 in the calendar she is ready to become the music diva again. With the single On The Floor, Lopez takes the help of old hit Kaoma Lambada, and steering it straight up the charts. At the same time appearing successfully as one of the judges in American Idol: "I have very, very fun right now," says Lopez over the phone from Los Angeles. She laughs and words bubbling up when she talks about new album Love?.

"I wanted it to be a dance album, and it was important to me that it would be up to date. I want people to see that I have developed but I'm still the same person as before, "she says.

One of the people who helped Jennifer Lopez to take the music to the next level is the Swedish demon producer RedOne: "We went into the studio and made five-six songs in a week. I explained what I wanted to sing about, what I wanted to tell and the energy I wanted in the music and it just worked out right away, "she says.

The new album 'Love?' will be released May 4th, and except RedOne, Lady Gaga has also contributed with songs to the new album.
